Robin Wood has worked in the counseling setting since 1998 in various areas of Pastoral Counseling, sexual and family addiction and recovery, children with learning and developmental issues, and as part of specific pediatric and child psychiatry treatment team. Mrs. Wood is trained, specifically, in individual, couples, family and children therapy.
Mrs. Wood has been trained and specialized in solution focus family systems and child-centered play therapy, including sand tray therapy. Much of her experience entails work with depression, anxiety, marital issues and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Enjoying the focus and interaction with the person(s) in the counseling session, Robin uses an array of counseling techniques, including the Direct Solution Focused Brief Therapeutic approach, attention to the family systems approach, cognitive behavioral therapy and forgiveness therapy.
I have been a Christian for over 45 years and believe that every solution to life can be found in the redeeming gift of grace through Jesus Christ. Andy Wood and I have been married for over 30 years, enjoying the ever-growing relationships with our 3 children: Carrie, Cassie and Joel. I continue to learn and grow more from my relationships with my children-in-law: Kyle, Curtis and Ashley. Lastly, I am a grandmother to 7 grand babies: Laura Kate, Cohen, Shepherd, Jackson, Cason, and Fischer.
